Everybody meet Brian Omolo. His mum is my dear Mama's bestie so I have known the chap all my life. Brian is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer trained in the United Kingdom. His passion is seen in his attention to detail that is seemingly effortless and organic.
The digital art space may not be big in Kenya as it is in Europe but this digital artist has purposed to leave his digital foot prints all over its hall of fame as one of the "Founding fathers".
In his quest to become "The legend" read " Baba yao" Brian is show casing his second art exhibition titled Typeface & Heroes.
This is an art exhibition of Brian Omolo’s latest works. The typeface artworks are a little autobiography of the artist. They are spinets of wisdom and experiences that the artist has picked up along his journey as designer, boiled down into a series of artworks that people can enjoy. The hero artworks are an attempt to show a cross cultural upbringing. Growing up, Brian loved heroes like superman and batman but also loved hearing about the mighty animals of the wild like lions, tigers and gorillas so the idea of mixing them together to see awesomeness happen was quite fascinating.
The exhibition opens at the Que Pasa
Bar & Bistro on 2nd August 2013 and runs until 23rd August 2013.
I got to sample some of his work on his site www.behance.net/brianomolo and a brother got talent take a look.
