Rubix and Red.

Now before I divulge my whereabouts I want to share with you something that made my heart stop in its tracks.

....."Strive to discover foundational love, the kind of relationship that motivates you to be a better man or woman, the kind of intimacy that is rare rather than right there. “But I don’t want to be alone,” we often exclaim. Be alone. Eat alone, take yourself on dates, sleep alone. In the midst of this you will learn about yourself. You will grow, you will figure out what inspires you, you will curate your own dreams, your own beliefs, your own stunning clarity, and when you do meet the person who makes your cells dance, you will be sure of it, because you are sure of yourself. Wait for it. Please, I urge you to wait for it, to fight for it, to make an effort for it if you have already found it, because it is the most beautiful thing your heart will experience....."

Words to live by I tell you..words to live by. I have been good a bit on the down low but you know I always make a come back well check this out....

I am totally crushing the reds and the maroons this season and I totally had to have this cape in red. I got it from my girl Shawn Osimbo check out her page who pretty much inspired this look.

Skirts and Roses.

I am officially a day behind thanks to the public holiday on Monday, but ooh well the rest was appreciated.

Wa gwan all ye followers!

I know I know...you know that song you listen to first thing in the morning it was a reggae song and I have been humming in that big chune throughout the day.

I am totally confused about Bruce Jenner. I watched his initial interview with Diane Sawyer like a month ago and it was a grueling 45 minutes because I felt pity for this human being. Here is a man who was a celebrated triathlon winner, married three times and has seven children and he has been living a lie. I could not wrap my head around it all. I am very open and liberal minded and trying hard not to judge him but what is the world coming too?

You know those dresses you see on the red carpet... those dresses that are not ordinarily worn to brunch, the ones the designers send to you with a price tag one, Yes? Well that is how I feel about the skirt worn right here!

It is made of some hard fabric that has been dipped in starch trust me it stays in that Marilyn Monroe position forever!

I paired it with a purple to bring out the pretty flowers and some killer flats from Zara that I have been obsessing over for months.

Boy Meets Bow.

We might as well jump right into it and ignore the fact that I may have been M.I.A for a while, Yes

Yes!!!

I may also have to mention that I did indeed miss you but there comes a time in a man's life.....(eeeh I just wanted to say that and for absolutely no reason.....) hehehe!

My good people I have been in the shadows just trying to figure out a few things here and there but this blogging thing just tends to suck me right back in. I gave in hence the boy meets bow shoes look.

I have been scowering the web for a pair of this particular shoe and I could not have it in any other color but red!

It oozes with class and makes you feel like you want to run in them (bad idea) and trust me, it could be all you have to wear an nobody even notices that you're naked.....No?

When everyone was getting their tartan shirt swag on I was just there think "mmmmmmh those things look a lot like those Maasai Shukas" yes pun intended but look who owns one now aaaarrrrgh!!! no judgment I just like doing things at my own pace...they call us rebels or whatever!

I paired it up with some over sized un-ironed jeans, a white tee, some bling and the watch and I was boy meets girl ready!

If you must know I really enjoyed this shoot. Mr Wamwiri Kimachia brought his A-Game. Good Job Man.

The Jump Suit.

 Photography by: Wamwiri Kimachia

I finally found a jump suit that feels right!

A very good afternoon people.

I do hope your week is coming along great. On Monday I bumped into an old school mate and the usual small talk ensued. I am sure you're wondering eeeeh what is the point of this conversation. Well off late I find it so hard to engage in the "proverbial small talk" most especially to people I do not interact with every so often. Have I become a snob or am I just comfortable and thriving in the silence?

Truth, I am morphing and I like it very much. Clarity is important as I "age" and I am not fighting the urge to just be.

This jumpsuit has got to be one of the most comfortable items in my very "small" wardrobe. I paired it up with these very comfortable animal print/ spiked heels that my mother wanted to know the thought process behind owing a pair hehehe! Don't you just love Mothers.

I threw on the signature black floppy hat that just turned this outfit around and my favorite yellow oversize blazer and vuaaaaallllaaaah we have a winner. What do you think?

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” -Audrey Hepburn

Denim to Dots.

Just when I think I am going about my life aka window shopping over my lunch hour like every other invisible person this very nice lady stops me and says "Hey..... I like your blog!" and I smile and say thank you.

To that very nice lady, you made my day more so because just like any tough day a simple statement makes it all worth the while.

Hey everybody!

I am sure your keeping well and coping with the bustle.

Don't you just love denim with everything? I paired it up with those cute red sandals and this lovely A-line black polka dotish skirt which is a statement piece and you should all own one.

Neon Fresh.

Hey there everybody.

I hope you are channeling all this summer vibes and a mix color brings it out so well. I am totally in love with white. Let's just say, if I make it to heaven the Angels and I shall create some runway ready caps for all of you up there at a price of course.

I paired these very comfortable white pants with this loose fitting neon top and mashed it up with nude heels and there on a bunch of color in for of the watch and the those colored bands to get a simple and clean look.
